Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases, we want to assure you that A Perfect Mover is putting the safety of our Team members and Customers first by following the best practices and guidelines for sanitation, cleanliness, and precautions as we continue to be The Perfect Moving Company that you can depend on.
Our Team will contact Customers in advance of arrival of our Move Team to inquire if the Customer feels ill, or suspects that they may have had contact with an infected person. Also, any Team Member who feels ill or has had contact with an infected person will be asked to follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and stay home.
My move is scheduled in a few days, and I’m not feeling well, what should I do? First and foremost, you should do what makes you most comfortable. A Perfect Mover will be in contact with you prior to your move, and together you will run through the extra safety precautions we have put into place. It’s possible to delay the start of your move, but you should check with us to see what dates are available and to get details related to any changes. If you are not considered at risk, you may want to proceed. We ask in this situation that you alert your mover you are not feeling well.
We are refocusing and increasing cleaning duties at our office and the interior/exterior of our Moving trucks. All moving trucks will be equipped with antibacterial soap and disinfection wipes or spray. We increased our cleaning on frequently touched surfaces at the beginning and end of each shift. Some of these surfaces are dolly's, door handles, steering wheels, phones, work surfaces, bathrooms and common area. Some Team Members will wear gloves which will be washed after every move or will wash their hands frequently while on the job.
We have always valued the professionalism and respect that came with a good introductory handshake. However, under this COVID-19 period, we ask that our customers understand for safety purposes, there be no handshaking and we are practicing social distancing.
